Each of our schools is
different. they are in different locations, around the world and offer
different types of experiences. some offer horse trekking, some
the horse trekking, others are equestrian centres and offer classes in
jumping, riding and dressage. A couple offer very good volunteer
programs where you can become more involved with horse care, and general
life of working in the stables with horses. Another is based on a small
farm, and you can be given total responsibility for looking after a few
horses, and exercising them daily. Another is more casual with just some
gentle horse riding along the beach three time a week. Some offer two to
seven days trekking on the mountains. With all this variety on offer, we
want to make sure that you have the best experience for your ability,
and your wishes. Here is a a summary of what each school has to offer,
and when to go!

Venezuela
Merida is a Andean Mountain city of about 300,000. It is a safe
and friendly University 'town' Due to its location near the
equator, it has a perfect temperature range always being in the
mid 20's C (80F). The language school overlooks one of the main
Plaza's in the city, and is very centrally located, in the hub
of the activity. The school manager owns a small working farm
just 30 minutes out of town, set in the stunning mountain.. It
is a different world. Here - up at 2200metres (7,000 feet) you
have some amazing mountain trails all to yourself. For the first
few days the friendly farm hand will show you the trials - after
that you have the freedom to go where you wish. This is not a
riding centre with 'lessons' but rather a working farm where in
a low key way you can look after the horses, and ride the
trials. Also several guided 2-4 day horse safaris are available.
Good all year round. Suitable for independent 18 years plus. |
