Jakera Posada - a 'pseudo' Home Stay
We believe that this is the best accommodation option for you. A small friendly Posada right in the meddle of the historic centre of Merida - overlooking Plaza Las Heroínas. It is run by a very nice Venezuelan family. You have your own rooms and it is run specifically for our students only. The family speaks Spanish - so it is your opportunity to practise what you have learnt. You are also invited to eat with the family - and discover a little more about the Latino culture. The posada has a lounge to relax in and a roof top terrace. This is a perfect mix - as you get all the benefits of a home stay - but with the freedom of a hostel/hotel. This is normally only about 10 students at any one time in residence - so it has a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. You can request a private room (please add $6 per day to the price for a private room)

Merida has a good range of Hotels. These range from Andean style to modern. We can arrange Hotels for you. Please send us your requirements and we will make a recommendation and book for you. Please add from $10-$30 a night onto the package price for a Hotel
