Costa Tropical is part of Andalusia, the area of Spain that is world famous for the Andalusian horses. In this part of the world horse riding is a part of the culture. Our Horse Riding takes place at the Picadero Riding Centre. This is located on the outskirts of Almunecar, only 10 minutes from the school. Transport is provided each day to get to the riding centre. Picadero is well set up for Horse riding. It has several arenas for practising, lessons and jumping. Being on the border with the countryside, it is extremely well located for trekking. In winter you can horse trek along the beautiful beaches. In summer you head onto the nearby (only a few minutes away!) country horse trekking trails. The riding and the views are spectacular.

Riding lessons (for all ages and levels)
Horse Trekking
Dressage
Jumping
Volunteer work

If you want to become more involved, the staff are happy for you to volunteer to look after, care, and exercise the horses. The staff are very friendly, and enjoy people that care and love horses.
To get even more pleasure out of  the wonderful surroundings, you can come on a two-day trip, sleeping overnight in the “Pena Escrita” complex, 1200 metres up in the Almijara mountains.
